The Governor’s Agricultural
Advisory Commission, located on the first floor of Tift Hall, chooses
various members of the agricultural community to confer collectively about
Georgia’s economic development and its effects on agriculture in the
state. The board discusses the numerous agricultural changes, problems,
and advancements in agriculture today. Along with this task, the members
also work to promote and execute the Governor’s agricultural initiatives.
Donnie H. Smith, the Executive Director of the Georgia Tobacco Community
Development Board and Agricultural Liaison to the Governor, is also housed
in the office.
