Banner Web -- Send E-Mail by CRN

 

Note: If the CRN contains more than 70 students, the steps below will not work. You can use the Official Class Roster to copy/paste into Excel.

 

1)      From ABAC Homepage http://www.abac.edu

2)      Banner Web [link]

3)      Yes [button] to Security Alert

4)      Enter Secure Area [link]

5)      User ID:  Non-SSN ID

6)      PIN:  (6-digits)

7)      Login [button]

8)      Loads Main Menu

9)      Faculty Services [link]

10)  Instruction Menu [link]

11) Summary Class List [link] or Detail Class List [link]

12) Select Term [pull-down]

13) Submit Term [button]

14) Select CRN [pull-down]

15) Submit CRN [button]

16) Email Class [link] at the bottom of the listing to send all students registered for this CRN

OR

17) Email envelope [icon] to the right of each row allows you to send an e-mail to an individual student.

18) Both methods open your default e-mail package (Eudora or Outlook). If you are using a browser-based e-mail account such as Hotmail, Yahoo, etc., you can copy/paste the e-mail address(es) into the browser message composer.

19) Select all (Ctrl+A) e-mail addresses in message body

20) Cut (Ctrl+X) to cut selected e-mail addresses from message body

21) Paste (Ctrl+V) to paste selected/cut e-mail addresses into the BCC box

22) Provide a subject and message to send to students
